Mural progress...

The mural in the playroom is taking much longer than I thought it would.  I am taking some sanity time away from work for the rest of this week and I hope to make a huge dent in it!

Recipes I Love
A dream of mine is to open a B&B and I found two killer recipes if my dream ever comes to fruition, World's Best Scones and B&B Baked Potato Soup (actually a B&B recipe).  Now I am on the prowl for a B&B cookbook!


Excited about tomorrow...
St. Paddy's Day is a special day at our house.  I am trying to prepare some fun activities... a big 'ol thank you to Oopsey Daisy's Mommy School and my sister for sharing her internet find!  I was wondering how I would find time to plan a fun day for me and the boys.

A Day in the Life of Me!

7:00 (wow, that is LATE) - wake up
Jay isn't in a happy mood (is he starting with a cold?)
Toby is happy as a jay-bird watching TV in my bed...I sneak downstairs to make breakfast.

coffee cake...yum! 

Jay's mood didn't improve after breakfast so down for a nap he goes...

After a shower and such Toby and I have some coffee cake that has now cooled.

Jay wakes up and it is craft time.  We make cards for grandma and great-grandma's birthday, and paint egg crates for a future craft, Easter carrot patch that looks adorable!  The play-dough comes out as well as Toby's activity books.  Toby practices cutting with scissors and writing.

The boys seem to have a lot of energy and the sun is shining so outside we go!  Jayden is happy in his car for a little while and then falls asleep in the swing.  I lay both my and Toby's coats under the breeze way and Jay takes another nap!  Toby plays in the driveway and yard with his dump truck and scooter.  I tackle the cactus "garden".

 I found some bulbs under the cactus mess...daffodils?

Jay woke up as I finished clearing away the mess and we went inside to fix lunch.  Toby wanted to eat his on the porch like a picnic so we came back outside to play and eat.  Then we got out Jayden's birthday gift - a battery operated gator!  Toby drove and Jay was the passenger...too cute!

The boys came inside to watch a tv show before a nap.  I made chili and let it simmer for a few hours.  The boys napped from 3:20 to almost 6:30!  I guess they were tuckered out!  Mommy got to clock a few hours of work.

After the boys got up the evening flew bye!  Baths, Daddy came home, more playtime, a little snuggling and then off to bed!
